Shawansina

Shawansina is a Shipibo, the grandson of a Shaman who trained him from the day of his birth. His name "Shawansina" means "the bird with the strongest call". Shawansina is the Shipibo word for the Guacamayo, a large species of Amazonian parrot.
Aquiles works with Ayahuasca ceremonies, diet and the sacred medicine plants. He has intimate knowledge of plant medicine, the use, the way of harvesting and preparing - and lots of icaros and stories. Several times I heard him say after the ceremony, a plant teacher contacted him and told him where to find them. The next day we set out and he found the location according to his vision. He lives with his extended family in Pucallpa, Peru.
